You can cancel at no cost up to three days prior to your scheduled trip and have the amount credited to your account. If you cancel within three days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip fee being charged to your payment method.

Begin your adventure by stocking the livewell with fresh bait before setting out into the nearshore waters off Tierra Verde. This excursion presents an excellent chance to explore a variety of habitats, from shallow structures to deeper ledges just a few miles offshore. Depending on the conditions and what’s actively biting, you’ll have the opportunity to target a diverse range of fish species.
Equipped with live bait and a flexible plan, your fishing options include bottom fishing, sight casting, or slow trolling over reefs and wrecks. Hogfish are a favored catch here—they offer a subtle bite and are prized for their delicious flavor. In addition, Mangrove Snapper, Red and Gag Grouper, and Permit are commonly caught on these trips, with occasional surprises of larger species.
If you’re aiming for bigger game, watch for Cobia cruising near the surface or close to structures. You might also encounter Kingfish, Barracuda, or even a Goliath Grouper if you drop your bait deeper. Bonito and Amberjack frequently appear in the area, and there’s always a chance to cross paths with sharks such as Blacktip or Bull.
The outing takes place aboard a 24-foot Mako bay boat—known for its simplicity, reliability, and suitability for nearshore fishing. Powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine, the vessel provides a stable and comfortable ride with ample deck space for up to six anglers. The boat is fully rigged with all necessary tackle, and the Captain ensures you have the appropriate gear for targeting whichever species you pursue.
This trip is ideal for anglers of all skill levels, including children, with the Captain ready to tailor techniques to match your experience and interests. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks (glass containers are not allowed), and enjoy your personal music through the onboard Bluetooth system. At the conclusion of the trip, your catch will be cleaned and packaged for you to take home.
