As a local business owner, he enjoys meeting new people and sharing his enthusiasm for fishing. He has been happily married for more than 20 years and is a proud father of three wonderful children. His son, Isaac, who also shares a deep passion for fishing, works as a Lake Michigan charter captain. Mate Jeremy and Captain Isaac made a fantastic crew. On a recent trip, my son, grandson, and I landed nine fish — seven kings and two rainbows. The largest king measured an impressive 41.5 inches. It was an amazing experience!
You can cancel without any charges up to three days prior to your trip and get a credit refunded to your account. If you cancel within three days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancelations on the day of the trip or missed appointments will result in the full trip cost being charged to your card.
Rods, reels, and tackle are all provided for your convenience. Additionally, we suggest packing sunglasses, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing, as well as any personal gear you wish to bring along on the trip.

There’s also the chance to drop lines into the deeper, colder sections of the lake to catch impressive Lake Trout. Besides their spirited fight, all these species provide excellent table quality for a delicious meal.
You’ll fish from Captain Dan’s 33-foot Wellcraft sportfisher, a beautifully equipped vessel featuring twin Volvo engines and a comfortable cabin to keep you cool during summer trips and warm on cooler days. Captain Dan ensures you have everything needed for a successful outing, supplying rods, reels, bait, and tackle. At the end of your day on the water, Dan and his team will clean and package your catch for you. Your only responsibilities are bringing a valid Michigan fishing license with the proper stamps, a cooler filled with snacks and drinks, suitable clothing, sunscreen, and a positive attitude!
