In hindsight, our trip would have benefited from going to Lake Fork. Our guide seemed more familiar with Lake Fork, knowing specific fishing spots and which lures were working best. This is exactly why choosing the right guide matters. I wish I had done more research before booking.

Sir, I understand that the day was tough. I took you to an offshore flat brimming with fish, but you didn’t get out of your seat to actively fish – simply dropping your Texas rig brush hog and jigging it a few times. I know Lake Fork and other lakes like the back of my hand from solo fishing many days. It seemed like you didn’t put in much effort, casting only about 20 feet from the boat. You had numerous bites but missed them. I’m sorry you feel that way.

Captain Jay was fantastic. We quickly found fish and caught many bass. I will definitely book another trip with him.

Unfortunately, I don’t have positive feedback. He disregarded my instructions completely. I asked him to fish the right side of the boat to avoid snags, but he kept casting on the left side, resulting in me retying nine hooks in 45 minutes. Even his son argued back with me. I’m there to teach, but that becomes impossible when directions aren’t followed.
