This charter was established following the team's involvement in numerous fishing events dedicated to underprivileged kids who had never experienced being out on the water. Additional events catered to fishing enthusiasts without access to boats, as well as fishing competitions held across nine lakes in Central Texas, where participants vied for bragging rights. The goal became clear: to provide individuals the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of feeling that tug on the fishing line while on the water. Our trip options are crafted not just to offer a memorable fishing experience, but also to foster confidence and promote teamwork.
With the expertise of our seasoned Fishing Guides, guests are assured an unforgettable adventure. There will be plenty of chances to capture photos, perfect for displaying at home or in the office. We also offer flexible starting points to accommodate your preferences.
My son and I had an amazing outing, catching an impressive number of bass. I can’t recommend Richard enough as our guide, and Derek was excellent with communication. We will definitely be booking again. Recently, we went on a guided fishing trip with Derek, and it exceeded all expectations! Although we were initially set to fish Lake Austin, Derek suggested switching to Lake Travis based on new information, which proved to be a fantastic call. His extensive lake knowledge and patient guidance with us beginner anglers made the trip both successful and enjoyable. Derek is truly outstanding.
Despite a tough day due to weather and less active fish, Derek’s dedication never wavered. We explored several fishing spots and everyone on the trip managed to catch something! We even came close to catching a massive 25-pound catfish, which would have been a personal record. Overall, it was a fantastic day out and Derek was an excellent guide from start to finish.
You can cancel your booking without any charges if you do so at least three days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within three days of the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
Includes rods, reels, and tackle.
Join professional guide Derek for an exciting day of bass fishing on Lake Bastrop. Known primarily for its abundance of Largemouth Bass, the lake also offers opportunities to catch Stripers, Sandbass, and Catfish, which Derek targets from time to time. Utilizing light tackle gear, he employs an array of soft plastic and hard baits tailored to the preferences of each angler. Whatever your bait choice, Derek is ready to customize the experience to fit your style.
These half-day excursions accommodate up to two guests, who will fish from Derek’s 18-foot bass boat—perfectly equipped for navigating Lake Travis. Powered by a 115-horsepower Yamaha engine, the boat ensures swift and smooth travel across the lake’s surface. Derek expertly pilots the boat, guiding you to prime fishing spots that he personally favors.
All fishing equipment, including rods, reels, artificial lures, and light tackle, is available onboard, though guests are welcome to bring their own gear if preferred. Be sure to pack your favorite snacks and drinks, and don’t forget your Texas fishing license. Get ready for an exhilarating day of bass fishing and reel in some great catches!
