As an avid fisherman with a deep passion for the ocean, I have spent over two decades exploring the New Meadows watershed in Phippsburg, Maine. This extensive experience has given me a thorough understanding of the local waters and a distinctive approach to targeting striped bass, bluefish, and a variety of other regional species. Our trips focus mainly on catch and release to preserve the fishery, though keeping a fish within legal limits for dinner is always an option if you prefer.
Whether using fly fishing techniques or spinning lures, the moments spent out on the water are what I value most, and I’m excited to share that experience with everyone who joins us. We welcome music aboard too, as it often adds to the atmosphere—except when we’re quietly trying to approach the fish.

You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 48 hours prior to your trip and receive a credit added back to your account. If you cancel within 48 hours of the trip date, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in a full charge being applied to your payment method.
All necessary gear will be provided. However, we suggest you also bring sunglasses, sunscreen, appropriate clothing for the weather, and any personal equipment you'd like to use during the trip.
Let’s get started with an exciting casting adventure! We can meet at several convenient spots including Watson’s General Store, Sawyer Park in Brunswick, ME, or my home in Brunswick. From my place, we’ll take a short 20-minute drive to my private dock. Our time on the water begins early, either at 5:00 AM or between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. After a brief safety overview and introduction to the boat, we’ll head out with our goal in sight.
This trip is all about casting! The more precise and skillful our casts, the better our chances of success. We’ll actively target areas with flies and lures to provoke those thrilling strikes. Unlike letting bait sit passively, this approach is fast-paced and dynamic — drifting through various spots to maximize opportunity. This method sets our trips apart and ensures an exciting and engaging experience.
