Captain Fred, originally from the South Shore of Long Island, began his journey in fishing and boating at just 13 years old. Back in 1975, he and his brother invested in a tong boat and started working the waters near the Town of Babylon, focusing on both fishing and clamming. Over the years, Fred has commanded numerous boats, gaining extensive experience fishing in both the coastal and offshore regions around Long Island, as well as various locations from Florida up to Massachusetts. Along the way, he has earned multiple tournament and club victories. Committed to success, Captain Fred is dedicated to ensuring his clients have a great fishing experience. In addition to his fishing charters, he has provided boat handling services for various families throughout his career. With over 43 years of expertise in fishing and boating, Captain Fred guarantees a memorable and enjoyable adventure on the water!

You can cancel without any charges if done at least 14 days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If cancellation occurs within 14 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in a full charge applied to your payment method.
All necessary gear will be provided. However, we suggest bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, suitable clothing for the weather, and any additional personal items you may need during the trip.

With Captain Fred’s extensive local expertise, you'll fish in productive inshore waters chosen according to the season and conditions. The primary method involves using cut and dead bait, with techniques customized to the targeted species of Fluke and Striped Bass. While live bait isn’t commonly used, all necessary rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided. After the fishing is done, your catch will be expertly cleaned and filleted, ready for you to take home. Remember to bring a soft cooler for your fish—coolers are available onboard for use during the trip.
The 44’ Henriques Sportfisher is equipped for comfort and convenience, featuring air conditioning, a restroom, and Bluetooth audio so you can enjoy your favorite tunes as you relax between catches. Ample space onboard ensures a comfortable and pleasant experience throughout the day.
This fully licensed trip is family-friendly and designed to be fun and stress-free for everyone involved. Please note that while a 20% gratuity for the crew is standard, it is not included in the trip price.
