His father, a key figure in the founding of B.A.S.S., passed down a deep passion for fishing. Beginning his career as a deckhand, Joseph gradually advanced to captain, gaining extensive knowledge while operating commercial vessels targeting grouper, stone crab, and nets.
Operating out of St. Petersburg, FL, Captain Joseph provides a wide range of fishing trips, from light tackle inshore excursions to offshore bottom fishing and sportfishing adventures. Whether pursuing Snapper in shallow waters or venturing into deeper seas for Grouper, he consistently delivers a great fishing experience. His fleet includes two well-equipped boats: a 35’ Jefferson Yachts Marlago powered by twin 300 HP Suzukis and a 25’ custom C-Hawk with a 250 HP Suzuki.
First Mate Chris accompanies him to ensure everything runs smoothly on board. Together, this seasoned duo guarantees an unforgettable day on the water. You can cancel at no charge if you do so at least 7 days prior to your trip and the amount will be refunded to your account. If you cancel within 7 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Canceling on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
Be sure to bring snacks and beverages, along with weather-appropriate clothing and sun protection (note: spray sunscreen is not allowed). Also remember to carry your camera. Fishing essentials like rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, water, and a fishing license are provided.

Set sail on the 25-foot C Hawk, Captain Joseph’s custom-built vessel from 2019. This boat offers great versatility, easily navigating shallow inshore waters as well as open offshore areas. Inside the console, you'll find a conveniently spacious toilet area with over 6 feet of headroom for your comfort.
Be sure to bring a cooler with ice to safely store your catch of the day. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat for sun protection. You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy during the trip. Captain Joseph provides everything else: rods, reels, tackle, lures, fishing licenses, and live bait—all included at no extra cost. Plus, a first mate will be aboard to assist you throughout the adventure.
