About Your Guide

Captain Milton is recognized as one of the premier catfish guides in Texas and has now expanded his offerings to include Monster Alligator Gar fishing adventures! The impressive catch rates of huge Texas catfish and alligator gar from his G3 Jet Boat are truly astonishing. He leads a variety of guided fishing expeditions on North Texas lakes targeting massive blue catfish, and typically heads to the Trinity River when pursuing giant alligator gar. Known for his calm and easygoing personality, Captain Milton makes every trip enjoyable while prioritizing customer satisfaction—meaning you’re almost guaranteed to land some big fish!

He’s also flexible with your preferred departure spot to accommodate your plans. Our experience with Captain Mike was unforgettable. Although the gars weren't biting much on that particular outing, Captain Mike gave it his all to help us catch an enormous alligator gar, culminating in a moment we’ll never forget. Please note that alligator gar trips start from Corsicana, not De Soto.

We had such a fantastic time! Milton proved to be a knowledgeable guide, always ready to share insights and tips about fishing. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and his friendly demeanor made the experience even better. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful trip, landing multiple large fish that went beyond our expectations.

We took an incredible alligator gar fishing trip on the Trinity River with Captain Milton. From beginning to end, he was professional, highly knowledgeable, and a true pleasure to be around. He was especially gracious and patient with my son, which meant a lot to us. Captain Milton worked tirelessly to ensure we hooked up multiple times, resulting in three impressive catches! His relaxed attitude just made the trip more enjoyable. If you want a memorable time on the water with a guide who really knows what he’s doing, Captain Milton is the one to choose. We’ll definitely return!

We had a fantastic outing with Milton. Though the fishing started slow, persistence paid off—everyone caught their very first gar! Milton didn’t hesitate to relocate several times to find better spots, and while other boats went home empty, we kept landing fish. We will be back for sure!

On another trip, we fished with one of Milton’s other guides, Captain Manny. We communicated ahead of time to set expectations about whether we wanted trophy fish or quantity, leading to a recommendation to fish a different but equally accessible lake. It turned out to be perfect! Captain Manny shared valuable knowledge about catfishing in the region and patiently answered our questions, which was a great value in itself. Within the first 15 minutes, he had us hooked into a 20-pound blue catfish. The boat was spacious enough for the three of us plus Captain Manny, with plenty of room for gear. This trip was ideal for families and beginners, as all gear and tackle were included. The entire experience was so smooth and well-organized that I’m already planning my next trip.

Our fishing adventure with guides Milton and Chuey was absolutely outstanding. They were professional, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate throughout our entire time on the water. They expertly navigated us to the best fishing spots and ensured my dad and I felt comfortable and included. Their attention to safety, hospitality, and detail made the trip seamless and truly enjoyable. The equipment was excellent, the boat was spotless, and the natural scenery stunning. We learned a lot, shared plenty of laughs, and created unforgettable memories. I highly recommend these guides to anyone seeking a fun, relaxing, and fruitful day of fishing. We’re looking forward to booking with them again soon!

If you’re aiming to catch the largest freshwater fish below the Mason-Dixon line, this guided adventure with Milton is exactly what you need.

Milton is widely recognized across Texas for his exceptional skill in locating, hooking, and landing enormous Alligator Gar, some of which can weigh up to 200 pounds and reach lengths of over six feet! These impressive predators dominate their habitat, feeding on everything from fish and frogs to ducks and small mammals. The Trinity River near Dallas is renowned for harboring some of the biggest Gar in the nation—so it’s time to experience the thrill for yourself.

During the trip, Milton will navigate you to the river’s deep holes, where you’ll fish with heavy tackle and steel leaders to reel in these prehistoric giants. Alligator Gar are powerful fighters, making the battle unforgettable. Be cautious of their sharp, alligator-like teeth, which can inflict serious injury.

Milton knows numerous secret fishing locations along the Trinity River. If the fish aren’t biting where you are, he’ll move the boat until you find the action.

You’ll be cruising on Milton’s 20-foot G3 skiff, designed with a shallow draft for accessing all areas of the river. Powered by a 150HP Yamaha engine, it’s perfect for exploring every nook and cranny.

All fishing gear, including rods, reels, leaders, and bait, plus snacks and drinks, are provided. The only requirement is to bring your valid Texas All Water License. The boat comfortably seats three anglers, so bring along your friends for a fun group outing. Don’t forget sun protection and appropriate clothing, as the Texas sun can be intense.
