Our crabbing adventure with Captain Wade was outstanding. We managed to catch a full limit of 60 large crabs in Tillamook Bay. Your adventure takes place at the mouth of the mighty Columbia River, where thousands of these famous sea-run fish arrive annually to spawn.
You'll be targeting these salmon using a mix of baits and lures with trolling gear. Salmonids—including Salmon, Trout, and Steelhead—are known for their aggressive strikes on fast-moving prey. When one bites, you’ll truly feel the fight! Both King and Coho Salmon are known for their powerful runs and spectacular leaps, making every catch an exhilarating experience. Once you reel in a trophy fish, you can keep it fresh on ice for the rest of the trip.
Your fishing vessel will be Captain Wade’s 23-foot Willie, a sturdy and practical boat designed specifically for river fishing. Featuring a nimble hull and powered by a 250-HP Yamaha engine, this boat ensures smooth and efficient travel all day long. It’s fully equipped with modern tools like GPS and a fishfinder to maximize your chances and help you fill your cooler with great catches.
