About Your Guide

With more than 25 years navigating the waters of South Florida, Captain Brett is a seasoned fishing outfitter who knows the local lakes, rivers, and coastal areas like the back of his hand. Growing up in this region, he has mastered the unique fish behaviors, techniques, and ever-changing conditions that make these fisheries so fruitful. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned angler, Brett offers customized, hands-on guidance tailored to your skill level. Renowned for his patience, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for fishing, he strives to create unforgettable experiences on the water that go beyond just catching fish.

Captain Brett is dedicated to conservation and responsible fishing practices, sharing his knowledge and commitment to sustainability with every group he guides. He is also flexible with start locations to better accommodate your needs.

Clients consistently praise Brett for his expertise and fun personality. One group shared how much they enjoyed their iguana hunt, noting his sharp eye for spotting hidden reptiles despite unseasonably cold weather. His upbeat music playlist helped create a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere, and he was attentive to those prone to seasickness throughout the trip.

Families appreciate his patience and humor, especially when fishing with kids. A father who booked a combined trip for both peacock bass fishing and iguana hunting expressed how Brett expertly led them through both activities, from carefully spotting elusive iguanas to tracking down peacock bass after changing locations. The trip ended on a high note with abundant catches and happy memories.

Others have praised Brett's accommodating nature, professionalism, and deep knowledge of the local fisheries. Many anglers have landed impressive hauls under his guidance, including one recounting catching over 50 fish in a six-hour expedition, highlighting Brett’s ability to quickly connect clients with peacock bass and other species.

While the majority of feedback is glowing, there has been occasional confusion regarding fishing license requirements. One customer experienced last-minute notice about needing their own Florida fishing license, which conflicted with prior trip descriptions stating the captain would provide coverage. The captain attributed this to logistical challenges with his commercial license, which required lengthy processing. Despite this, the captain demonstrated commitment by extending the fishing time amid difficult weather conditions, resulting in memorable catches, including large Jack Crevalle and a tarpon that got away after a fierce struggle.

We apologize for any licensing misunderstandings and are actively working with Captain Brett to improve clarity on such matters. Nevertheless, his efforts to ensure a great time on the water remain clear, and we hope you’ll consider another trip with us to experience his expert guidance firsthand and pursue your own trophy catch.
