Drift trips involve allowing the boat to naturally drift across the flats while casting blindly at potholes and drop-offs using lures. This method is very quiet, making it the most effective way to catch fish. It is especially well-suited for larger groups of two to three people, as well as trips that include children. The primary target species on this trip is speckled trout, with flounder and redfish being secondary targets.
