About Your Guide

Tyler is an expert guide specializing in fly fishing excursions throughout the Texas Hill Country River Region. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced angler, he provides fly fishing and light tackle adventures targeting species such as Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Guadalupe Bass, and Trout. Tyler's deep enthusiasm for fishing the rivers and lakes in this area shines through every trip. He fishes for bass year-round and focuses on trout fishing on the Guadalupe River during the colder winter and early spring months.

Each trip is tailored to your skill level, current river conditions, optimal seasonal fishing spots, preferred trip duration, and location. Tyler ensures the use of top-quality rafts and kayaks, fully equipped with all the necessary gear to maximize your chances of a successful outing. With many years of experience guiding, paddling, and exploring the waters of the Texas Hill Country River Region, he also offers fly fishing lessons to help you improve your technique. He is also flexible with pickup locations to accommodate your needs.

This was our second experience fishing with Tyler. We went a bit earlier in spring when the temperatures were cooler, yet the fishing action remained outstanding! Tyler guided us to Largemouth Bass up to 5.25 pounds, numerous 3+ pound fish, and even some Smallmouth. We truly enjoyed our time with him; he was not only a fantastic guide who helped us with casting but also ensured we landed impressive fish using both fly and spinning gear. The Devils River is a phenomenal destination that’s definitely worth visiting. Additionally, Tyler proved to be an excellent camp chef. We are already looking forward to our next trip with him!
