The initial payment for this journey cannot be refunded unless the trip is canceled due to weather conditions. If you cancel on the day of the trip or fail to show up, the total cost will be charged to your card.
Please bring snacks and extra drinks if desired, along with a rain jacket or weather-appropriate clothing. Don't forget hats and polarized sunglasses. If fly fishing is your preference, be sure to bring your gear. Additional items to pack include clothing, toiletries, and a bed roll. We provide rods, reels, tackle, and sit-on-top kayaks. Lunch will be provided.
Embark on a thrilling five-day, four-night fishing adventure along the Devil's River guided by Shane, an expert in both fishing and paddle craft. This trip offers the chance to catch popular freshwater game fish in Texas, focusing mainly on Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass. While tents are provided for your stay, please bring your own sleeping bag and sleeping pad for added comfort.
Known as one of Texas' premier Smallmouth Bass fishing spots, the Devil's River demands a challenging paddle, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Your journey begins early on the first morning, where you'll meet Shane and his shuttle driver, JD. JD will transport you and Shane to the river, ensuring a timely launch around 8:30 a.m.
Each day is filled with fishing excitement, followed by evenings at a cozy campsite featuring delicious meals and a warm campfire. Shane handles all the camping equipment and meal preparations, allowing you to focus entirely on the experience. The adventure concludes when JD returns to pick you up at the end of the trip.
Shane’s custom kayaks are specially equipped for fishing, offering comfort and convenience with tailored fishing rigs and ergonomic seats. For larger groups, extra gear, or families with children not ready for kayaking, he also provides canoes as an alternative.
You will only need to bring a Texas fishing license, appropriate clothing, toiletries, and your personal sleeping gear. With Shane’s expertise and gear ready, you’re set for an unforgettable fishing expedition on the Devil's River!
