About Your Guide

Originally from Southeast Florida, your guide brings years of experience fishing and waterfowl hunting across the unique waters, marshlands, and back bays of this beautiful region. With extensive local expertise and a genuine love for the outdoors, he continually explores new locations to create memorable adventures that keep visitors returning year after year. Whether you're targeting fish or setting up decoys for ducks, his mission is straightforward: offer exceptional customer service while highlighting the best this amazing area has to offer.

Fishing excursions are fully equipped, including all necessary licenses, tackle, rods, reels, plus fish cleaning and bagging services right at the dock. Duck hunting trips come complete with decoys, rigging, and layout boats, and rental shotguns are available in 12GA and 20GA for a modest daily fee. If you’re looking to mount your birds, extra bags will be provided, ensuring your catches are well-packed for the journey home.

For fishing, you’ll set out on a comfortable 22’ Seapro center console boat powered by a 150HP Yamaha, while hunting expeditions utilize a 1754 duck boat with a 40HP surface drive. Both boats are designed for safety and easy access to hard-to-reach spots. Whether pursuing redfish on shallow flats or waiting patiently at dawn for ducks, you’re in expert hands with a guide who knows the terrain, respects wildlife, and is committed to delivering a premium experience from beginning to end.

Flexible start locations are available to suit your convenience. One guest shared their first duck hunting adventure with his son as an early chilly morning added to the excitement. Captain Ted impressed with his knowledge, patience, and enjoyable company. He’s highly recommended for hunters of all levels, from beginners to seasoned veterans. Despite less-than-ideal weather, the trip was filled with fun and valuable insights, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time.

We will gather at the ramp at the scheduled time and then head out onto Lake Okeechobee for fishing. Our fishing approach will include three options: using jigs with single poles, employing minnows with bobbers, or trolling with jigs. Among these methods, trolling with jigs has proven to be the most effective this year, consistently yielding impressive catches in a short period.
