Originally hailing from Maryland, he spent his winters in Florida growing up, often fishing alongside his father and uncles. After his youngest child headed off to college, Captain Wayne decided to broaden his business by offering guided fishing charters in Florida during the winter months. We had an incredible morning out on the water with Captain Wayne, catching a variety of fish and thoroughly enjoying the experience. This is definitely a trip we would recommend and book again. Our family had a fantastic time targeting snapper, with every person on the boat landing a catch. Captain Wayne did an excellent job finding the perfect spots to fish.
Although the fish were a bit reluctant to bite, Captain Muscles gave it his all to help us catch some. The season just wasn’t ideal for fishing, but we still managed to reel in some nice-sized rockfish. Spending the day on the water with friends is hard to beat. The crew kept the conversation lively and made several attempts to find the right fishing locations. We truly valued the effort and the friendly atmosphere. Thanks to Muscles, Scott, and with Wayne joining us in spirit, it was a memorable trip.
You can cancel at no cost up to 7 days prior to your scheduled trip and get a credit applied to your account. If you cancel less than 7 days before the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full remaining trip fee being charged to your card.
The price covers all fishing gear and licenses. Once the trip concludes, the crew will handle cleaning and filleting your catch. Be sure to bring your own beverages, snacks, sunscreen, and have a cooler ready in your car for the journey home!
Captain Wayne warmly welcomes you to join him, along with your family, friends, and business partners, for an exciting day of fishing aboard his 46-foot charter boat! With over 50 years of experience and more than 7,500 trips under his belt, Captain Wayne employs a proven fishing technique tailored to the Chesapeake Bay. He offers half-day excursions departing at 5:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
Fishing season kicks off in late May, focusing mainly on Rockfish through chumming. By early June, live lining with spot is introduced to the technique. Come mid-August, Bluefish join the mix alongside Rockfish, and bottom fishing yields White Perch and Catfish as well. Unless you have a specific species in mind, the priority is to catch the Rockfish limit first, followed by catching Perch, Catfish, or Bluefish to complete the trip.
All prices cover bait and tackle, so you only need to bring your own food, drinks, and coolers large enough to transport your day's catch home.
