Captain Mark has spent his entire life rooted in the San Joaquin Valley. From a young age, he developed a strong passion for fishing, despite his parents not sharing the interest. This passion seemed to come from a natural calling within him. Some retired neighbors introduced him to fishing using traditional gear, yet it was fly fishing that truly captured his imagination. When he was just 10 years old, Mark received a fly-tying kit, which marked the beginning of his fly fishing journey. Before long, he was spending nearly 200 days a year on the water! Over time, he began guiding clients and fondly recalls his very first professional catch back in 1984. After countless days on the river and many years of experience, he remains just as enthusiastic about welcoming new guests, reconnecting with returning clients, and creating unforgettable experiences.
