I was born in the Chicagoland region, but when I was just two years old, my family relocated to Missouri to run a bait station at Stockton Lake alongside my grandparents. We operated that bait station from my early years until I was 13. It was there that my passion for fishing and the outdoors truly took root. Some of my fondest early memories include helping customers by preparing bait and weighing their catch. My enthusiasm for fishing was also greatly influenced by my two uncles, Buzz and Jeep, who encouraged me to spend as much time on the water as possible and helped shape the angler I am today.
As I grew up, I discovered snagging for spoonbill catfish and quickly became fascinated by the challenge. Back then, catfishing mainly meant baiting the bottom and waiting patiently, but over time, I expanded my skills and embraced modern methods. I have devoted much of my time to mastering and experimenting with various techniques to target trophy-sized blue catfish on Lake of the Ozarks and Truman Lake, leveraging the latest electronic technology to do so. Moving beyond traditional fishing approaches has allowed me to consistently bring more fish aboard than ever before.
These advancements have also empowered me to provide a better experience for my guests by efficiently locating and catching fish. Being out on the water daily, meeting new people, and sharing my knowledge is truly rewarding – it doesn't get any better than this! Pursuing this passion led me to earn my Master Captain’s license through the Coast Guard. Now, the exciting fishing journeys can truly begin. Many guests describe their time on the water as an unforgettable and enjoyable experience, often calling it the best guided trip they’ve ever had. Even the weather has been on our side, making every trip memorable.
