One satisfied client shared, “Carson was a fantastic guide with extensive knowledge of Lake Tillery. He educated me on fish behavior and how it influences the chances of success. I tried live scan technology for the first time and loved it. Seeing the movement and travel patterns of fish in real-time really boosts the odds of catching them. I would highly recommend Carson, not just for his boat and gear, but for his deep understanding and experience.”
Some feedback did mention that the live scanning device was positioned at the bow, leaving limited space for two people, which made it difficult for all guests to fully engage with the technology. Despite this, the trip resulted in 13 fish caught—though primarily by Carson himself. Regarding this, Carson responded, “Fishing isn’t just about catching every cast; sometimes the fish don’t cooperate, and that’s the nature of the sport.”
Concerns were raised about the setup of the boat needing to better accommodate three guests so they can fish comfortably and enjoy the same technology advantages. In contrast to other guided trips where clients caught most of the fish, Carson explained that after encouraging the guests to fish from the front deck, they opted to fish at the bank, where bites were scarce. He noted, “The fish were mostly offshore, and since they didn't want to fish that way, they didn’t catch much.”
Carson expressed regret for any inconvenience and appreciated the opportunity to discuss the experience candidly. Despite differing expectations, feedback from others highlighted Carson’s friendly personality, professionalism, and dedication to making every trip memorable. One client remarked, “Carson is an outstanding guide—polite, courteous, and willing to go above and beyond. He made our trip one we’ll always remember.”
