Captain David has a deep-rooted history with fishing in Galveston Bay, having started his angling adventures alongside his father back in the 1960s when he was only five years old. In 1988, while serving as a Childcare Director at the YMCA, he stepped into the role of a Galveston fishing guide. By 1990, he merged his love for fishing with his experience working with children, deciding to pursue guiding as a full-time career. Since then, Captain David has been recognized as a family-oriented guide who takes great joy in teaching newcomers the ins and outs of fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder across Galveston Bay.
Operating out of Eagle Point Fishing Camp, which is conveniently situated in the heart of Galveston Bay, Captain David welcomes guests at the dock. After a quick safety briefing, you'll load your gear and set off for an exciting fishing expedition on the bay’s plentiful waters. Every fishing trip includes all the essentials such as rods and reels, live bait, ice, and complimentary cleaning of your catch. You can cancel without any charges up to 30 days prior to your scheduled trip and get a credit added to your account. If you cancel less than 30 days before the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and paid to the guide. Cancellations on the actual day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
Please bring a hat, sunscreen, and polarized sunglasses. We'll provide a cooler stocked with food and drinks. Rods, reels, live bait, and ice are also included for your convenience.
