With more than three decades of experience fishing and guiding on this lake, I have developed a deep understanding of the waters and the fish that inhabit them. In addition, I craft and sell my own custom Jig Heads and Swim Baits designed specifically for Lake Texoma conditions. You can cancel your reservation without any charge up to 14 days prior to your scheduled trip and get the amount credited back to your account. If you cancel less than 14 days before the trip, the deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in your card being charged the full trip amount.
All necessary gear will be provided. However, we suggest you bring along sunglasses, sunscreen, suitable clothing for the weather, and any other personal items you may find useful during the trip.

From early fall through late winter, Lake Texoma becomes a hub for diverse gamefish. Whether your target is Striped Bass, Sand Bass, Smallmouth, or sizable Catfish, these waters promise thrilling encounters and unexpected catches. This journey features a variety of fishing methods to keep every moment engaging: expect to troll, bottom fish, drift, or jig based on the day's conditions. Whether you prefer light or heavy tackle, you’ll be fully equipped for whatever bites.
Captain Dirk conducts these adventures aboard his well-equipped 24-foot Blazer Bay, perfectly suited for groups up to five anglers. The boat is outfitted with premium technology, including GPS, a fish finder, a 45-gallon live bait tank, a wireless trolling motor, and downriggers—tools essential for locating and staying on top of the fish. Live bait is provided on every trip, and with 24 hours' notice, it will be prepared and ready at the dock. All rods, reels, tackle, and lures come included. After your fishing session, Captain Dirk will clean and bag your catch, carefully removing the red meat so your fish is prepped to go straight from the freezer to the pan.
Planning to bring children? Captain Dirk emphasizes family-friendly fun, welcoming anglers of all ages. Kid-sized life vests are available to ensure safety, and it’s wise to bring snacks and drinks to keep everyone energized throughout the day. Don’t forget essential items like sunscreen (please use non-spray types only), sunglasses, and rain gear—especially useful on chilly mornings or unpredictable weather. Dressing in layers is highly recommended for comfort when temperatures fluctuate.
Before boarding, all participants must have a valid Lake Texoma fishing license, which can be obtained online or with assistance from Captain Dirk. Since some species are seasonal or require specific tags, checking regulations ahead of the trip is advised.
